CORONAVIRUS LATEST GUIDELINES

COVID-19 PROTOCOL UPDATE - March 10th 2021

COVID-19 update as of early March.

Just to confirm that our current COVID 19 guidelines will stay in place until 17 May with the exception that we are increasing the number of people allowed in the garden from 10 to 15 at any one time.

i.e. social distancing at all times, face masks to be worn in the Potting Shed, no more than 4 in Potting Shed at any one time, use of hand sanitiser when appropriate. Also the Booking Calendar MUST still be used by everyone please.

From 17 May we are allowed to gather up to 30 people so we will no longer have to register on the calendar but other COVID 19 practices will remain in place unless we are advised what Step 4 guidelines on 21st June will be.

Grace & Flavour - Saturday Sales Ceased for now - Update 28th January 2021

I am sorry to say we have had to review again the Garden being fully open for garden Sales.

With immediate effect we will no longer be offering surplus vegetables for sale on a Saturday morning.

There are a number of reasons but the main one is that there are not as many vegetables available as we originally thought and we have to crop carefully what we have to ensure there is a supply of some produce through to late spring.

We also have to be mindful of those that are still working in the garden and keep them safe during the pandemic.

We hope you understand and we will be in contact as soon as we have surplus produce to sell again.

Active members should crop responsibly and carefully when they come down to the garden during the week to ensure there is produce for others for the same reason.

You are also reminded to maintain social distancing at all times. There should be no more than 2 people in the polytunnel and four people in the Potting Shed ( wearing masks), and please use the calendar if you are planning to work in the garden - no more than 10 people at anyone time. Please use hand sanitiser/ wash hands and continue maintaining the COVID guidelines. And finally, remember to pay by bank transfer.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Your committee Grace & Flavour

COVID-19 PROTOCOL UPDATE - November 5th 2020

Lockdown from Thursday 5th November

So here we go again!

We would like to update active members on updated guidelines following the announcement of the new lockdown.

A reminder - The garden will remain open daily based on government guidelines:

- it is okay to travel to allotments.

- it’s okay to exercise outdoors in public gardens and grounds.

- it’s okay to visit outdoor space.

However, you MUST sign into the calendar - Click Here or visit the G+F website so we know exactly how many members are expected there and we will temporarily reduce the maximum number of members from 20 down to 10 at any one time.

Please observe the 2m social distancing, and you are encouraged to work at least 10m apart. Please do not chat on the paths and block access for others.

Use the hand sanitisers/soap and wear gloves at all times, especially when using G & F tools and equipment.

The maximum number who can work in the polytunnels is 2 and the maximum number of people to be in Potting Shed is reduced to 4 at any one time. Some members have asked that we wear facemasks while in the Potting Shed so please observe this for the next four weeks or until lockdown ceases.

There should be no group socializing over tea-breaks and you are reminded to bring your own refreshments. The kettle and gas burner will not be available for a brew!

Hopefully, if everyone complies with these guidelines, the garden will remain a safe place for us to visit and work in and remain open.

Thank you and stay safe

Your committee
