Growing good food for people who live and work in and around the Horsleys.
Grace & Flavour is a community kitchen garden project. Together we work the land, growing and sharing veg, and restoring a once-lovely walled garden. G&F includes 25 private allotments, thanks to the support of our local parish councils. Whether private allotment or community garden, the project is characterised by lovely people, hard work, lots of learning, and a steady(ish) supply of beautiful fresh veg.
To keep up with what's happening at G&F, add your name and email to the box on this page.
Grace & Flavour hosts the 1000th allotment provided by NT. As part of the PR for that we were lucky enough to have this film made - have a look (with sincere thanks to the National Trust)
You can come and have a look on a Thursday or Saturday. We think you are sure to be enthralled...and we love having visitors (there's so much to show).
Membership of G&F is open to all who live and/or work in the Horsleys*. It is/was/always will be free of charge. To join, please read the Constitution and send us an email to say that you accept. There is no cost, and no defined time commitment, the garden will take as much or as little as you can give it. This project comes with a warning though - it, and the team on it, are addictive!
If you just want to know more about this initiative, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or call Su on 07802 443 419 (email is often faster!).
PS - if you really cannot be physically involved, bake us a cake once in a while or join the tea rota...
* If you do not live or work in the Horsleys and would still like to be involved you will be very welcome. We ask that you are invited in by an existing member (so you need to come and visit and get to know us) and we are limited to no more than 10% of our overall members being such.
